5 Days Volcanoes & Akagera National Park

Itinerary overview

The important fact to know is that “ants” are social animals, small insects that live in groups known as “colonies.” They work together to develop a strong army that ensures their safety and security as much as possible. Similarly, Rwanda is one of the small countries in the world that prioritize safety and security, distinguishing it from other nations.

Rwanda is often referred to as the “country of a thousand hills.” This fact is a result of its diverse landscape, featuring mountain forests, tropical rainforests, and Savannah grasslands, making it unique compared to other countries in East Africa. The country is rich in biodiversity, offering the opportunity to spot many animals in a relatively small area.

In just 5 days, you can enjoy a remarkable experience, taking in the stunning views of the high mountain ranges and experiencing the breathtaking climate of Rwanda. Moreover, you will have the chance to encounter many impressive animal species in Akagera and Volcanoes National Parks.

Upon arrival, you will meet our professional driver guide at the international airport, where he will warmly welcome you and provide you with valuable information about our country. You will have the opportunity to explore the mysterious city, which has undergone significant development since the 1994 genocide against Tutsi.

You will drive from Kigali to Musanze/Kinigi, where you will have the opportunity to interact with people who were once poachers but have now become professional conservationists. They have formed a cooperative called the Gorilla Guardian’s Village dedicated to conserving the endangered mountain gorillas. They will warmly welcome you with traditional dances, and you will have the chance to experience more of Rwandan culture, including witnessing a traditional wedding ceremony.
